Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026. Operator: James A. Lang, trading as Velinor — james@velinor.io.
1. What AIBlindspot is
AIBlindspot is an intelligence service that classifies real-world AI failures and provides an automated risk scorecard tool. It is designed to support board-level decision-making. It is not a regulatory compliance service, legal advice, or a guarantee of any outcome. Using this platform does not create a client relationship with Velinor.
2. AI output disclaimer
The scorecard produced by the "Test Your Use Case" tool is generated by an AI model (Claude by Anthropic). It is a starting point for structured thinking — not a definitive risk assessment, legal opinion, or compliance determination.
Do not rely on scorecard outputs as the sole basis for any governance, procurement, regulatory, or investment decision. AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, or out of date. You must apply your own professional judgement and, where appropriate, seek independent expert advice.
3. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Velinor accepts no liability for:
- Decisions made on the basis of AIBlindspot scorecard outputs, risk index data, or any other content on this platform.
- Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
- Loss of data, revenue, or business arising from use of the platform.
- Third-party services (Clerk, Anthropic, Netlify, Supabase) used to deliver the platform.
4. Intellectual property
The AI Blindspot Framework — including the taxonomy of 48 blindspots across 8 categories, domain definitions, and the Risk Index methodology — is proprietary to Velinor.
You may use scorecard outputs and risk data for your own internal purposes. You may not reproduce, resell, licence, or publish the framework, taxonomy, or methodology (in whole or in part) without prior written permission from Velinor.
5. Defence data clause
AIBlindspot National Security content — including case studies tagged as national security incidents and Defence-tier scorecard outputs — will not be used by Velinor for AI model training, benchmarking, dataset construction, or any purpose other than providing the subscribed service directly to you.
This commitment applies whether or not the content is marked confidential. It binds Velinor, its employees, and any subprocessors engaged to deliver the Defence product.
6. Case study submissions
By submitting a URL to the AIBlindspot database, you confirm that:
- The source is publicly available and you have the right to share the link.
- You have not included private, confidential, or personally identifiable information in your submission note.
- You grant Velinor a perpetual, royalty-free licence to classify, edit, and publish the submission as a case study in the AIBlindspot database.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use AIBlindspot to:
- Scrape or systematically extract case study data or scorecard results for commercial resale or redistribution.
- Probe, stress-test, or reverse-engineer the API without prior written consent from Velinor.
- Submit false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content via the case submission tool.
- Circumvent rate limits or authentication controls.
- Use the platform in a way that could damage the reputation of Velinor, AIBlindspot, or individuals featured in the case database.
8. Subscriptions and cancellation
Paid tiers (Pro and Defence) are monthly subscriptions billed in advance. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier. No refunds are provided for partial months.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
